I would like to hear from anyone else on here who bought a cheap card and tried to update it. Download Toolbox Maps & more Roads are constantly changing. To update your map, follow these steps: Insert a USB key to your navigation device and save its navigation data Download the Toolbox to your computer and insert the USB drive Follow the instructions on the screen to update your map Re-insert the USB drive into your navigation device and upload the data For detailed information, see the Guide menu. Mazda navigation sucks IMO, it works, but in the same way my cheapo 2 decade old Garmin works. Plus, planning your route is SOOOOOO much easier than doing it in the Mazda navigation app. It's actually nicer than the built in OS. My wife has Android Auto in her car and she loves it. If I did need navigation that much, I'd probably just spend the money for the USB upgrade on my 2016.5 and flash to the newest firmware so I could use Android Auto. I don't use it much, so it's not that important to me. Mine still works, but I'm stuck with the 2019 maps unless I want to buy another card. I wouldn't be surprised if most, if not all, of them are counterfeit copies. Really surprised to hear people on here saying the Mazda dealer told them to buy off Amazon or eBay. It works, but when I went to update the maps it told me my card was involved in fraudulent activity and to take it to a dealership with proof of purchase (I would assume so they could try to take action against the seller). I bought my supposedly genuine card off ebay.
